This is a private website with a few publicly available files. It exists on space I have legally rented from FutureQuest for my personal education and edification. Files are used to test and experiment with different technologies available on the web, mostly open source offerings. If you see advertisements, photos, banners, and other materials that appear to promote an organization or person, you should disregard them as they are created for the sole purpose of learning or teaching.
There may be some legitimate banners and ads which may show if we are using technology or giving credit for items, as required or requested for us to use materials provided by other persons.
Most portions of this website do not seek to promote any commercial, social or political agenda. We are unashamedly Christian and parts of this site are evangelical in nature. There is another portion that does promote my hometown, Sterlington, Louisiana, as I proudly proclaim it to be the best location in America for US to live. There are yet other portions that you may find interesting and helpful if you want to know my opinions and experience with homeschooling, Christianity, parenting, computers, the internet and homemaking. The writings are meant to be inspirational and informative but are always my own opinion or experiences and are written from that point of view.
I do not operate any commercial businesses and I have never sold any web designs nor did I intend for anyone to think that I had. My website is very obscure and receives very little traffic. If you are here, [smile] you are probably not noticed and, although you are welcome to visit, it will be assumed you have read the terms of use, whether you do or not.
Portions of the website were created to give me an outlet for a variety of articles and essays I wrote or collected that I wanted to sort by category for ease of maintenance and reference. The articles are usually practical, helpful and informative and you are free to browse as long as you agree to be bound by the terms of use.
Comments may or may not be turned on, depending on when you arrive here, as that is something I am learning to administrate. If you leave a comment, it may or may not appear and it may very quickly be deleted. This warning is not meant to be unfriendly. Because of events that have ocurred in which my actions, intentions or words were misunderstood, I find it better to make my intentions as clear as possible. Many people do not take the time or make the effort to contact me if they have a problem with something they come across on this website and the lack of communication distresses me but is beyond my control.
Also, I am not online as frequently as you may imagine and in our fast food society, if people do not receive a quick response to their question(s), they assume the worst. This is also distressing as I have gotten online just in time to receive a barrage of angry feedback from uninvited visitors to files that were not even open to the public- because they misunderstood what they saw (usually the fake ads/organizations) and perceived it as a threat.
And these words I command you today shall be in your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down and when you rise up. (NKJ) Deuteronomy 6:6-7
My purpose here is to teach and learn. We teach our seven children at home as we were instructed to do in the Bible. They are not allowed to surf unsupervised on the internet because of the dangers so sometimes pages are loaded to demonstrate a technique that is unique or interesting to them or myself. The files are usually deleted quickly and although we edit them sometimes to see if the underlying code will break or display differently and to see WHERE an item of code affects the appearance in the displayed page of a browser- it is never our intention to claim the code as our own. The edited files are never intended for public viewing and although I have taken measures to prevent pages from being indexed by robots and spiders, that is beyond my control in most instances due to other websites that use indexing, caching and recording methods to preserve deleted and changed files.
